How characteristic of your perverse heart that longs only for what happens to be out of reach.

About This Quote

The quote above is a famous quote by the French poet Alphonse de Lamartine. The French writer was speaking about a woman who had a very difficult temperament. For example, she thought that her husband’s fortune would be better if he were more powerful and richer, and blamed him for his own failures. Because of these feelings of hate, she constantly complained about everything he did, and constantly pushed him to do things that she felt were impossible for him to accomplish.

She never accepted the fact that he was not as successful as she wanted him to be. However, she also loved him with all her heart. She knew that he was capable of doing great things and that he was a good man who deserved love and respect from all people.

It was just that she had such a difficult temperament that everything must be perfect for her and everything must go her way.
